A pianist in a Seattle hotel bar is serenading me to sleep on Zoom.

Eye-to-eye with a red-tailed hawk 😲

At tea, Hannah mused, ā€œWe had such a short time between when we graduated in 2012 and 2013 and everything that happened in 2016. It sometimes feels as though we’ve been robbed of the enjoyment of being young.ā€

We spoke of the things pressed upon us this year that we railed back against. ā€œWhen I say I don’t give a fuck anymore, it’s not about apathy. It’s giving time back to that part of myself that was denied.ā€

What I didn’t get at the tea shop today.

I’m currently enjoying a very archetypal Melanie evening in: Covering old picture frames with washi tape while a 10-hour-long 1988 docuseries about Marie-Louise von Franz plays in the background.

Occasionally pausing to eat chocolates and take notes. Bliss.
