I was at this show!

(If you squint and use your imagination a bit, Odel and I are in the very lower right hand corner.)

I really don’t get kids and their fascination with attempting to record entire concerts on their cell phones. The show was wonderful, but the crowd was pretty bratty, I thought. As you can see, it was all packed standing-room only and as the concert would go on, kids would try to squish their way directly in front of me, just to take out their phone and attempt to photograph and record everything. I was pretty peeved.

How about you just try to enjoy the music instead of tweeting about it all night?

My current favorite song …ALL of Scott Joplin’s compositions. Because they are all perfect.

I couldn’t help but think, “I really like George Sr.’s hideaway nook.”

My boyfriend and I (as Peter Parker and Rick Grimes) at NYCC.

My current favorite song.

Seriously. I <3 Spanish pop radio.

Today’s agenda:

&

And I am VERY excited about it!

Here are a few scenes from my Saturday in the city with my housemates:

Went to Beacon’s Closet’s new Manhattan store.

Loved this shirt, but it didn’t fit, and I didn’t find it worth altering. But I did like the detail, and will try to craft something like this someday.

Inside of one of The New School’s buildings. I am OBSESSED with this wallpaper.

We also saw some roller derby. My first ever bout!

It’s amazing what fantastic skaters these ladies are. It’s impossible to leave one of these bouts without an intense longing to skate around a roller rink again. It’s also impossible to leave without brainstorming what your fantasy roller derby name would be. (I decided that mine’s Pika Chew-You-Up, haha.)

And the halftime show was men’s bike polo! This game is incredibly dangerous, haha. Those people sitting on the floor got polo balls hurled at them left and right.

And we got home at 2am after a latenight dinner at Big Daddy Diner. Awesome, brilliant Saturday evening.

Reinvisioned Mad Men opening. I really love it, except it makes the show look like a lighthearted sitcom. Which is it most certainly not.

This is one New 52 title that I am looking forward to reading. I really know NOTHING about The Flash, and I think it would be interesting getting to know a classic character through this brand new redesign.

(Here is the original article about the making-of this awesome promo art.)
