And here we have a Classic Melanie Sunday with all the fixins:
- Jazz club morning feat. oddball chanteuse Nellie Mckay
- Stumbling upon the gorgeous Jefferson Market Library (a former courthouse with a fascinating history) and taking a moment to stand in awe of this gorgeously rare site of adaptive reuse in NYC
- Making a game-time decision to go to Fotografiska for the (I’m sorry to say, disappointing) David LaChapelle exhibition. It was a thrill to see Death by Hamburger, though—that image was my phone-screen background for many years.
- Thought for a moment I might rebound with dinner at the Union Square Cafe, but decided to just call it a night with a Lucy Worsley BBC docuseries at home instead
Ah, the spinster life!
