I wonder if there’s data around the efficacy of volunteers who stand on sidewalks with a clipboard asking for donations. I agree with pretty much any cause I encounter in that fashion (Planned Parenthood, marriage equality, whales) but I am also, like many people, categorically repelled by heckling.

Obviously the pro-clipboarding moral argument is that the ends justify the means but I wonder if, you know, the numbers bear that out.
