I woke him up from a nap to get this video. I felt bad. But this perfectly portrays his nonchalant demeanor.

I ATE A HALF GALLON OF ICE CREAM BY MYSELF.

(it took about three weeks.)

February 6 & 7th, 2010

I was very much looking forward to this weekend. Not for any particular reason, I was just happy to have a couple of days to relax. We were anticipating a huge snowstorm on Saturday, but it turned out to be kind of a dud, thankfully. I took that as an opportunity to check out a thrift shop called Bon Marche in Babylon that day. I had found the shop by accident while I was lost on my way to a Panera on Thursday. I’ve always had a love for thrift store and vintage shore shopping. You never know what you’ll find, from what decade, for what price. I found this button-down shirt from the 1960’s for $10. When I got back home, I buckled down and did homework for six hours. I do not exaggerate. At 7pm, my friends and I went to see a movie, and then we were out for the night.

I woke up nice and late this morning. I enjoyed a luxurious bowl of cereal, fed my fish, and then started doing a bit of housekeeping. I learned early on that there was a devastating explosion at a power plant very close to my hometown. It put me into kind of a somber mood. To take my mind off of it, I did a series of relaxing activities. I ate frozen fudge-covered Oreos, went window-shopping online, picked out outfits, painted my nails a lovely shade of Barbie pink, watched Food network, and then I reconstructed a pair of shorts. Before, they hit just above the knee, and I shortened them to just about fingertip-length. It’s a more flattering style for someone my height. Reconstructing items of clothing is one of my favorite things to do. I am still an amateur, but it is quite amazing how drastic an outfit changes with just a little bit of cutting and stitching. I plan to have a nice, relaxing evening all to myself, probably watching a movie instead of the Superbowl.

(this was the aforementioned journalism assignment. I accidentally posted it to this blog, but I didn’t have the heart to delete it. Awww.)

time-lapse video. trippiest thing you’ll watch all day. unless you plan to watch the superbowl on acid.

Did a reconstruction of these shorts today. They used to be my FAVORITE shorts. I think CJ picked them out for me, like 3 years ago. And I don’t know if my personal tastes have changed, or what, but I really didn’t like where these shorts ended on my leg. I’m really short, so this length kind of made me feel even shorter.

I folded them and sewed them, so they are maybe 2" shorter now. And it’s just perfect.

Gaga dream.

I had a dream that Lady Gaga let me and my friends live in her house while we was on tour. She would come by and visit, and she would be so nice to us, and it was so grand. And we all became disciples of Gaga because she was our savior.

Yeah it was a really weird, but really awesome.

HAHA, want to hear the most depressing sound bite of your life? here it is.

(and for those who are uninformed..we had to call tumblr as part of a homework project. I’m not just calling tumblr because I have nothing else to do and i’m feeling emo. haha. nooo no no.)

fuckyeahmst3k:

This is the one episode of MST3k that I would suggest to anyone who had never seen it. #0820 - Space Mutiny has been showcased on FYMST3k before, but it’s still fantastic. Starring Reb Brown, aka Dave Ryder, the man with many names. I would sum up the film for you but all you need to know is that the special effects are from Battlestar Galactica, the actors are all celebrity look-alikes, and it’s hilariously funny. The actor who plays him and the actress who plays Lea? Totally married IRL.

“Finally, Christmas comes to Santa.”

“YEEAAAARRRGGGGHH!!!”

Fun little drinking game: Take a drink whenever there’s a railing kill.

Show this episode to anyone who doesn’t know about MST3k. Reblog it. Let tumblr rediscover it.

If you’ve got another good episode suggestion, by all means, share it!

More Space Mutiny fun: Robowar review (featuring Reb Brown), Yor: Hunter from the Future review (more Reb Brown!), Strike Commando review (even MORE Reb Brown!) Generate your own tough-guy name (just like Dave Ryder!), Are you a Bellarian? I am. Finally, The many names of Dave Ryder: the list, and the video.

We here at FYMST3k love Space Mutiny. And that’s not because it’s a Mike episode. (Honestly, I don’t see why people make such a division.)

space mutiny is the quintessential MST3K. My dad, brother, and I can quote it from beginning to end. In fact, that’s how we amuse ourselves when we run out of things to do on the trip to Virginia Beach.

This made me burst out laughing while I was at the internship. Thanks, Sergey.

I’m interning, live from Panera Bread today.

I’m so happy to be here.

new dress a day..

If I were WAYY more crafty, I would totally embark on a project similar to this one: New Dress A Day.

This is AMAZING.
